2025 Dates and Invitation Criteria for the Singapore Gymnastics Development Programme (SGDP)

The Singapore Gymnastics Development Programme (SGDP) for Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG), Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG), and Rhythmic Gymnastics (RG) is set to continue its success in 2025, with training camps scheduled for June and November. Since its inception in 2019, the SGDP has been integral in fostering the growth and development of both athletes and coaches, helping them progress towards higher levels of performance within Singapore’s gymnastics community.

Singapore Strengthens Its Status as a Gymnastics Hub with Second Asian-Level Event in Three Years

In a significant move that underscores Singapore’s growing presence as a gymnastics hub, the country has once again secured hosting rights for an Asian-level event. Singapore Gymnastics has been awarded the 2025 Senior Rhythmic Gymnastics (RG) Asian Championships, solidifying its position on the international gymnastics stage. The event, scheduled from 16–18 May 2025 at the OCBC Arena, was officially announced at the Asian Gymnastics Union (AGU) Congress in September 2024.

Successful Conduct of Level 1 Rhythmic Gymnastics Judging Reaccreditation Course

Singapore Gymnastics (SG) recently conducted the Level 1 Rhythmic Gymnastics (RG) Judging Reaccreditation Course in preparation for the upcoming changes to the Code of Points (CoP) and RG National Programme in 2025. More than 34 judges attended the course and sat for the reaccreditation exam, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining high standards of judging within the national and international gymnastics community.

A group of athletes from the RG Junior and Senior National Squads, who met the event specific selection criteria, travelled to Budapest, Hungary, from 30 to 31 August 2024 to compete in the 29th Gracia Fair Cup. The event featured participants from a diverse range of countries, including Brazil, Latvia, Georgia, Poland, and Egypt. Despite the tough competition, our team of selected athletes delivered impressive performances, gaining invaluable experience along the way.
