Singapore Gymnastics Announces 2027 National Events Calendar
Singapore Gymnastics is pleased to share its proposed national events calendar for 2027, featuring a refreshed competition schedule designed to provide athletes, clubs, coaches and officials with greater flexibility and a better overall competition experience.
One of the key changes for 2027 will be the switch in timing between the Singapore Open and National Championships.
The Singapore Open 2027 will move to the March school holiday period and is scheduled to take place from 8 to 21 March 2027.
The event will continue to bring together local and international gymnasts across Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics and Trampoline. The extended competition window will also provide greater flexibility in scheduling the various competition categories, helping to create more manageable competition days and allowing for appropriate breaks between sessions.
Artistic Gymnastics activities will take place during the first half of the event, including open training, podium training, FIG Junior and Senior competitions, as well as the local Levels, Pre-Junior and Sub-Junior categories.
The Artistic Gymnastics competition period will conclude with the Gym Challenge on 15 March, before the venue transitions to Rhythmic Gymnastics and Trampoline competitions from 16 to 21 March 2027.
The National Championships 2027 will subsequently move to the May and June school holiday period.
The Senior National Championships will run from 26 May to 8 June 2027, beginning with Artistic Gymnastics before transitioning to Rhythmic Gymnastics and Trampoline.
An additional competition day has been allocated for Artistic Gymnastics compared with 2026. This will allow the programme to be spread across more sessions and provide greater flexibility for athletes, coaches, judges and organisers.
The Junior National Championships for Levels 1–3 will follow from 17 to 25 June 2027, with Artistic Gymnastics competitions taking place first, followed by the Junior Rhythmic Gymnastics programme.
The revised calendar forms part of Singapore Gymnastics’ ongoing efforts to evolve its national competition framework and improve the competition experience for the gymnastics community.
The year-end competition calendar will remain broadly similar to 2026, with the following events scheduled:
