In an initiative to elevate the quality of early childhood physical education, Singapore Gymnastics recently conducted a KinderGym course aimed to equip coaches with the knowledge and skills to deliver effective and engaging KinderGym sessions for young children. The KinderGym course was conducted by non-other than Karen Norden, the High-Performance Technical Director of Singapore Gymnastics. Her extensive experience, expertise, and passion for nurturing young talents made her the perfect presenter.

The course attracted coaches from various backgrounds, eager to refine their coaching skills specifically tailored for young children. With Karen Norden's expertise at the helm, the training provided an unparalleled learning experience for attendees. Participants had the opportunity to engage in hands-on workshops and practical sessions, focusing on child development stages, age-appropriate exercises, safety protocols, and effective teaching techniques. This unique course stood out by integrating themes and music into Kindergym sessions, offering coaches an innovative approach to engage and inspire young children. 

These newly certified KinderGym coaches can now deliver KinderGym programs under our ActiveSG Gymnastics Academy in centres across the Island. The innovative partnership between Singapore Gymnastics and SportSG will ensure gymnastics is accessible to all across the nation and actively target all Singaporeans to live healthy active lives from an early age, with our fundamental movement-based programs.
