Fundamentals Course FAQ

Q: Why do I need a Fundamental Coaching Accreditation?

A: The Fundamental Coach Accreditation is the minimum requirement for coaching in gymnastics in Singapore. Upon successful completion of the course, it allows participant to be eligible to apply for provisional NROC membership. The Fundamental Coach Accreditiation is also pre-requisite for subsequent Intermediate discipline-specific coaching courses.


Q: Can I go for the first aid course later, after the fundamental course?

A: Yes, you can complete your Standard First Aid (SFA) within 2 months from the last day of the course. Your SFA has to be done with a recognised training provider with Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC). More information can be found https://srfac.sg/directory/training-centre/


Q: I do not have any background in gymnastics but I did other sports. Can I join the Fundamental Course?

A: Yes, the Fundamental course is open to participants of all background as long as they are above 16 years old.


Q: Is the course payable with SkillsFuture.

A: As of April, yes!


Q: Can I register for the course via the Singapore Gymnastics website?
