Singapore Gymnastics is delighted to announce the appointment of Yang Yong as Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) National Coach.

Yang Yong is a professional gymnastics coach with over 15 years of experience. He has been an active and dedicated contributor to the local gymnastics community for over a decade in Singapore.

Originally from Shandong, China, Yang Yong underwent systematic elite training from a young age. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Education from Shandong Sport University and is a FIG Level 2 International Coaching certified professional. Additionally, he has been honored with the prestigious title of National Master of Sports by the General Administration of Sport of China.

For the past 10 years, he has coached at Prime Gymnastics, where he worked with athletes across various competitive levels. His tenure there was marked by the development of numerous medal-winning gymnasts and a proven track record in both high-performance training and long-term athlete development.

His approach centers on scientific training methods and individualized development. He is committed to the holistic growth of his athletes—ensuring they excel technically, physically, and mentally—while fostering core values of discipline, confidence, and resilience.
