World Gymnastics Updates Code of Discipline

World Gymnastics has announced a new edition of its Code of Discipline, strengthening legal clarity, procedural consistency and the protection of participants across gymnastics.

Adopted following meetings of the World Gymnastics Executive Committee and Council in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, in May 2026, the revised Code entered into force on 1 September 2026.

The update forms part of the ongoing review of the World Gymnastics regulatory framework. It maintains the primary disciplinary role of Member Federations at national level and the independent role of the Gymnastics Ethics Foundation (GEF) within the World Gymnastics system.

Singapore Gymnastics encourages clubs, coaches, officials and other members of the gymnastics community to familiarise themselves with the revised Code and share relevant information within their organisations.
