Singapore Gymnastics (SG) is pleased to announce that registration for the Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) National Training Centre (NTC)  Selection Trial is now open!

Objective: To identify and induct talented athletes who have the potential to represent Singapore at major games (South East Asian Games, Asian Games, Olympic Games etc.) and international championships.

Athletes will go through a series of tests conducted and assessed by our team of NTC coaches. The test items will only be revealed on the day of the trial. A spot in the NTC is earned in 2 phases, with phase 1 being a day trial, and phase 2 being a 2 months trial. Should the athlete be successful, she will be offered a position in the WAG NTC High Performance training programme. 

1) Eligibility Requirements 

Singaporean Citizen. 
Born 2010 - 2015 inclusive.
Female.
Not necessary to have background in gymnastics.

2) New Gymnast Recruitment Timeline 

Phase 1 Trial - 1-day selection on 7 or 14 November 2021.
Phase 1 Results - By 18 November 2021. 
Phase 2 Trial - 2-months training from 2 January - 28 February 2022.
Phase 2 Results (i.e. offer of official position) - By 4 March 2022. 

3) Phase 1 Trial Details 

Date: 7 or 14 November 2021
Time:  0900H - 1300H
45 min - 1 hour time slots within the above timing on either 7 or 14 November 2021 will be allocated via email after registrations close. 
Gymnasts may not select their preferred date/ time of trial; this will be allocated.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your assigned time slot.

How to get to the gymnasium: Safe Entry at security, inform security that you are headed to the gym.  Coaches/staff will be there to pick up the girls. 

4) Phase 2 Trial Details

Dates: 2 January - 28 February 2022
Training schedule will be sent via email. 
Venue:  WAG NTC. Address: 21 Evans Road, Singapore 259366 

5) How to Register

Registration Deadline: Monday, 31 October 2021.
All interested parties are required to register at the link above by the deadline. Walk-in participants will not be accepted. 
Registrations are on a first-come-first-serve basis.

6) Attire for Trial 

Tightfitting tank top and shorts/ leotard.
Hair tied up neatly in ponytail/ bun. 
Venue is not air-conditioned. 

7) Things to Bring 

Water bottle
any other training aid

Note: spots will be offered depending on vacancies. Athletes may be put on the waiting list should we identify more then we can accept
