Update on the RG National Programme 2025 & Beyond

Published Thu 23 May 2024

The working group behind the RG National Programme, set for implementation in 2025, has been diligently refining the programme since the last update in January 2024. Led by Judging Coordinator Phaan Yi Lin, the team has reviewed feedback from the community forum held on January 22 and the subsequent release of the draft programme framework.

The January forum saw participation from over 63 community members, who provided valuable feedback and posed questions after the programme overview presentation. Positive discussions have also been held with the Ministry of Education to integrate the new programme into the National School Games.

The programme is now in its final stages, with the team addressing the transition process for athletes and ensuring alignment with the 2025-2028 FIG Code of Points. The next steps include developing comprehensive resources for coaches and judges, such as instructional videos and a detailed manual.

An online presentation of the final framework is scheduled for July 5, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Interested participants can register to attend. The programme manual and additional resources will be available in August.

Judging is a crucial component of the new programme's implementation. The working group has scheduled reaccreditation courses compulsory for current judges to maintain their judging accreditation and to ensure that they are familiar with the new national programme. Details of the courses are as follows:
