Exciting news from The Yard, one of Singapore Gymnastics affiliated clubs.

The Yard is offering full access to the eActive platform to all for FREE to help keep the gymnastics community active and engaged in the types of activities that are essential to continue physical development and fitness.

There are a variety of videos focused on different age groups and abilities.

The specialist team at The Yard Singapore has put together a whole series of fun, fitness and movement videos for girls and boys aged 3 years and upwards to stay active and challenged physically during this period of no activities. All exercises are designed to be done in the comfort of your own homes with typical household items when needed.

You may visit https://www.theyard.sg/eactive-home/ to register for your FREE account and start exploring today.

What You Can Enjoy

Your login gives you access to over 300 activity videos across a multitude of acrobatic disciplines such as:

  • General Gymnastics & Gross Motor Movement
  • Freestyle
  • NinjaZone
  • Developmental Gymnastics
  • Competitive Women's and Men's Gymnastics

What to Expect From the Video Structure

Each of the videos is made up of key structured segments:

  • Weekly Warm-Up - these vary between age-group based on difficulty and complexity. They are set weekly for children to practise and repeat each day to help them memorise and master.
  • Stretch - All athletes (and parents if you are joining in) need to go through a full-body stretch to prepare the body for the main activities of each video.
  • Daily Content - this section of the video changes daily. Based on the discipline you are exploring your eCoaches will take you through several fun and physical activities specific to that discipline that is designed to be performed in the comfort of your home. You can pause the videos at any point whilst you work through the activities or even get in some extra practise before moving on.
  • Daily Challenge - Each day The Yard coaches have put together fun physical challenges for you and your children to try out at the end of each video. These are designed to test strength, or coordination or fitness using typical household items.

Families have been sharing videos of their challenges with us and on social media which has been so great! Keep sharing using #TheYardSG #SupportTheYard
