Singapore Gymnastics will revise the scheduling of its two major competitions in 2027, with the Singapore Open and National Championships moving to different periods of the year.

Under the revised competition calendar:

• Singapore Open 2027 is planned to take place during the March school holiday period.
• National Championships 2027 is planned to take place during theMay/June school holiday period.

Traditionally, the National Championships have been held during the March school holidays, while the Singapore Open has taken place during the May/June school holidays.

The change follows an ongoing review of Singapore Gymnastics’ competition calendar, event operations, participation trends and the long-term objectives of both competitions. The revised schedule is intended to better support the continued growth and development of the Singapore Open and National Championships, while strengthening the overall competition pathway for the gymnastics community.

The Singapore Open continues to develop as an international competition that welcomes clubs, athletes, coaches and judges from Singapore and overseas. Meanwhile, the National Championships remain the key domestic platform for Singapore’s gymnasts to compete and showcase their progress at the national level.

The revised schedule will allow Singapore Gymnastics to further strengthen the identity, positioning and delivery of both competitions.
