Singapore Gymnastics Announces 2026 Competition Calendar
Singapore Gymnastics (SG) is pleased to unveil the 2026 Competition Calendar, carefully structured to align with local school holidays, international competition schedules, and long-term athlete development goals.
Building on the success of the 2025 season, the 2026 calendar strengthens SG’s commitment to delivering structured, inclusive, and high-quality competitions across all four disciplines — Men’s Artistic (MAG), Women’s Artistic (WAG), Rhythmic Gymnastics (RG), and Trampoline (TRA). This year’s framework continues to balance opportunities for both elite and recreational athletes, ensuring every gymnast has a pathway to grow, compete, and excel.
Strategic Planning for Key Competitions
National Championships
The competitive season begins with the Junior National Championships for both Rhythmic and Artistic Gymnastics, giving Level 1–3 gymnasts early opportunities to gain experience on a national stage.
The prestigious National Championships follow soon after, uniting Singapore’s top athletes across levels from Stage to FIG Senior. These cornerstone events remain vital for benchmarking performance and shaping athlete selections for regional and global meets.
Singapore Gymnastics Carnival (WAG) – Postponed from 2025
Originally scheduled for 2025, the Gymnastics Carnival (WAG) has been rescheduled to early 2026.
The updated two-day format allows for greater participation, enabling more gymnasts and clubs to take part while enhancing the overall competition experience. This adjustment reflects SG’s ongoing focus on inclusivity, athlete welfare, and event quality — ensuring every gymnast has the opportunity to perform in a supportive and well-managed environment.
Gym Challenge Series
Held thrice during the year, the Gym Challenge continues to serve as an accessible platform for recreational athletes to enjoy the thrill of gymnastics in a friendly, community-focused setting. It reinforces SG’s belief that gymnastics should be a sport for all, regardless of age or ability.
Singapore Open
The Singapore Open welcomes both local and overseas teams, providing valuable international exposure for athletes at all stages — from developmental to FIG Senior — and strengthening Singapore’s role as a regional hub for high-quality competitions.
Singapore Gymnastics Carnival & GymFest
The Singapore Gymnastics Carnival, held in conjunction with GymFest, will once again celebrate the fun and creative side of gymnastics.
These twin events encourage participation from recreational gymnasts, and enthusiasts, promoting teamwork, expression, and the joy of movement. Together, they embody SG’s mission to grow a vibrant gymnastics community through participation and celebration.
Gymnastics Classic – International (Open to International Teams)
Closing out the 2026 season, the Gymnastics Classic – International will feature both Artistic and Rhythmic competitions.
Open to international clubs and federations, the Classics provide athletes from Singapore and abroad the opportunity to compete at a high level across Stage, Age Group, and FIG categories, further elevating Singapore’s reputation as a destination for world-class gymnastics events.
Strengthening Development Pathways
The 2026 calendar reflects Singapore Gymnastics’ holistic approach to athlete development — nurturing gymnasts from the grassroots through to elite performance.
By integrating structured progression, international exposure, and inclusive participation opportunities, SG ensures that athletes are well-prepared to represent Singapore on the regional and world stage.
