Singapore Gymnastics Appoints New Technical Advisory Councils for 2024-2025 to Provide Guidance and Support to the National Offi

Singapore Gymnastics (SG) has taken a significant step towards fortifying its commitment to excellence in gymnastics with the announcement of the appointment of new Discipline Technical Advisory Councils (TACs) for the years 2024-2025. These TACs, representing various gymnastics disciplines, are entrusted with the vital role of advising and supporting the National Office. The establishment of these councils reflects SG's dedication to fostering a collaborative and strategic approach in shaping the future of gymnastics in Singapore.

Functions of Discipline Councils with Emphasis on Advising and Supporting the National Office:

  1. Carry out SG's Purposes and Objectives: The Discipline Councils will actively align their efforts with the overarching goals of SG and work closely with the National Office to provide valuable advice and support.
  2. Provide Technical Direction: Offering guidance and direction to the gymnastics community in Singapore, with a focus on collaborative efforts with the National Office.
  3. Implementation of Policies: Collaboratively carrying out technical and operational policies and procedures directed by the SG National Office Staff, with a focus on seamless integration and support.
  4. Technical Regulations: Preparation and submission of technical regulations for approval by SG HPTD or delegated SG Staff, ensuring alignment with the strategic direction set by the National Office.
  5. Event Coordination: Coordinating and implementing technical regulations at all SG events in collaboration with the National Office, ensuring a unified approach to event management.
  6. Programme Formulation: Formulating, interpreting, and publicising discipline programmes in alignment with the vision set by the National Office, providing support in program development.
  7. Support for Judges and Coaches: Providing collaborative support and guidance for judges and coaches to enhance the discipline, contributing to the broader objectives set by the National Office.
  8. Community Communication: Maintaining open lines of communication with the gymnastics community, facilitating seamless information exchange between the Discipline Councils and the National Office.

The introduction of these TACs marks a significant milestone in SG's ongoing efforts to elevate the standards and strategic direction of gymnastics in Singapore, ensuring a collective approach towards achieving excellence in the sport.
