Ms. Marta Rostoburova has been appointed as the new Rhythmic Gymnastics National Coach and is expected to officially commence her role in September 2025.

An accomplished former international athlete from Uzbekistan, Marta brings elite competitive and coaching experience to her new role. A veteran of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, she represented Uzbekistan in the group all‑around, helping her squad secure qualification through a strong performance at the Olympic Test Event in April 2016. At Rio, her team finished 12th in qualification.

Marta made her mark as a medal-winning competitor at the 2013 Asian Championships in Tashkent, where she and her group claimed bronze medals in both the all-around and the 10‑clubs events. Over her Olympic campaign, she accrued a strong world-level résumé, placing 10th in the group all-around at the 2015 World Championships in Stuttgart.

Transitioning into coaching, Marta served as the Head Coach of Qatar’s National RG Team for the past six years, specializing in the development of pre‑junior gymnasts into competitive junior squads. She has also contributed as a judge at high-level events—including the Sky Grace Cup in Doha—demonstrating her depth of knowledge in RG regulations and athlete development. Before her tenure in Qatar, she held the position of National Coach of Junior Groups in Uzbekistan.

Singapore Gymnastics CEO commented, “Marta brings a rare blend of Olympic-level insight, international coaching acumen, and proven athlete development success. Her arrival will greatly strengthen our coaching structure and support for our gymnasts.”

Marta’s official duties are scheduled to begin by September, marking another step in Singapore’s mission to elevate its RG programme to the highest competitive standards.
