We are excited to announce the gymnasts who have been selected as carded athletes by High Performance Sports Institute (HPSI) for FY2026/2027! This year, more of our gymnasts than ever before have been recognized for their talent and hard work under the spexScholarship, spexPotential and spexCarding schemes.

We are incredibly proud to have two gymnasts, Mikayla Angeline Yang and Amanda Yap, inducted into the spexScholarship programme this year. This top-tier support system is designed to propel our athletes to the pinnacle of the Asian and World stages.

Furthermore, our spexPotential pool has more than tripled, growing from two in 2025 to eight gymnasts this year. This surge highlights our strengthening pipeline, as we focus on preparing them to succeed at the SEA Games level before they transition to even larger stages. With twenty-eight gymnasts also achieving spexCarding status, the breadth of talent across our disciplines has never been more robust.

It is the result of a deliberate push toward international competitiveness and the unwavering commitment of our athletes, coaches, and support systems. As we look toward key upcoming competitions, these numbers serve as a powerful indicator that the standard of gymnastics in Singapore is consistently rising.
