Singapore Gymnastics Supports Ai Tong School PE Teachers with Gymnastics Coaching Guidance

Gymnastics has long been a part of the Ministry of Education’s (MOE) primary school curriculum, giving students the opportunity to develop fundamental movement skills from a young age. To further support the delivery of these lessons, Singapore Gymnastics visited Ai Tong School on 31 July to share expertise and provide guidance to Physical Education (PE) teachers.

During the session, Singapore Gymnastics staff offered practical advice, answered questions, and demonstrated ways to conduct safe, fun, and engaging gymnastics activities. Teachers were shown how to adapt lessons through progressions and regressions, ensuring that every child — regardless of ability — can take part and benefit from the experience.

Gymnastics provides the building blocks for every sport, developing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination — essential elements for a child’s overall growth. By supporting PE teachers, Singapore Gymnastics helps ensure children gain skills that benefit them not only in sports but also in their everyday lives.

This visit reflects Singapore Gymnastics’ commitment to engaging schools, sharing knowledge, and ensuring that gymnastics continues to be delivered in a safe, inclusive, and effective way in line with MOE’s curriculum. True to its slogan, “Start Here, Go Anywhere,” gymnastics opens the door to a lifetime of movement and physical confidence
