Singapore Gymnastics (SG) is pleased to announce that registration for the annual Rhythmic Gymnastics (RG) National Training Centre (NTC) Selection Trial is now open!

Objective: To identify and induct talented individuals who have the potential to represent Singapore at major games (South East Asian Games, Asian Games, Olympic Games etc.) and international championships.

Members of the public/ gymnasts will be put through a series of test items conducted and assessed by our team of RG NTC coaches. The test items will only be revealed on the day of the trial. If the gymnast is successful, she will be offered a position in the RG NTC High Performance training programme. Expected commitment is 6 days and 24 hours of training per week.

1) Eligibility Requirements

• Singaporean Citizen.
• Born 2006 - 2013 inclusive.
• Female.
• Not necessary to have background in RG.

2) New Gymnast Recruitment Timeline

• Phase 1 Trial - 1-day selection on 9 or 10 Dec 2021.
• Phase 1 Results – By 17 Dec 2021.
• Phase 2 Trial - 1-week training from 10-14 January 2022.
• Phase 2 Results (i.e. offer of official position) - By 21 January 2022.

3) Phase 1 Trial Details

• Date: 9 or 10 Dec 2021.
• Time: 2 - 5 pm
• Email on 3-hour allocated session on either 9 or 10 December 2021 has been sent out to all successfully registered participants.
• Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your assigned session.
• Gymnasts may not select their preferred date/ time of trial; The allocation email has been sent out.
• For the fair assessment of participating athletes, please note that any athlete arriving 10 minutes later than their assigned session will be turned away.
• Participants are to be present throughout the entire 3 hour session.
• Venue: OCBC Arena Hall 1B

4) Phase 2 Trial Details

• Dates: 10-14 January 2022 (inclusive)
• Training will be 4 hours a day, Monday-Friday between 2-8:30 pm, Saturdays between 9 am - 6 pm.
• Venue: Either Bishan Sports Hall or OCBC Arena Hall 1B or Sengkang Sports Hall

5) How to Register

• Registration Deadline: Tuesday, 30 Nov 2021, 2359hrs (CLOSED)
• All interested parties are required to register at the link above by the deadline. Walk-in participants will not be accepted.
• Registrations are on a first-come-first-serve basis.

6) Attire for Trial

• Tightfitting tank top and shorts/ leotard.
• Hair tied up neatly in ponytail/ bun.
• Venue is air-conditioned.

7) Things to Bring

• Training aids e.g. socks/ toe shoes etc. if necessary.
• Music of best routine in USB thumbdrive if any.
• Apparatus of best routine if any.
• If the gymnast has no routine, she is not required to bring that music and apparatus.
