Forum for parents: Understanding burnout in young athletes and how to prevent it

Singapore Swimming Association is organising a Parents Forum around the topic "Thriving or fading in youth sport: understanding burnout in young swimmers and how to prevent it." and has kindly shared this event with all our Singapore Gymnastics athlete parents as well. While the focus of this forum will be targeted at swimming, the topic is generic enough for parents to adapt for their own scenario. This event is free and slots are limited so please register early to avoid disappointment. 

KinderGym course with coaches from 7 different sports

The KinderGym course was held on 10-11 May before Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) tightened measures put in place for the COVID-19 situation. This KinderGym was a little special as it is the first time we worked with NurtureKids Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) coaches and what a blast it was! Update to Gymnastics Safe Management Measures for Singapore’s “Further Stricter Safe Management Measures for 16 May – 13 June 20

Aligning to Ministry of Education’s announcement on 16 and 18 May 2021 to reduce the intermingling of students from different schools and enhance the safety of students, SportSG have included in their SMM that all gymnastics classes / programmes regardless of class size, catering to children and youth who are 18 years old (born in 2003) and below, are to be suspended or moved online. This takes effect from 19 May to 13 June 2021 or till further notice.

2021 Singapore Open Cancelled

As much as our hearts desire to open the stage for the 2021 Singapore Open, it is with deep sadness that we had to cancel the competition due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments in Singapore. It is one of the toughest decisions that we had to make, but at the end of the day, the safety of our staff, event volunteers, judges, our participants and their respective coaches, our partners and the community take ultimate priority.

2021 Singapore Open - Regular Registration

Regular registration closes on Friday, 7th May 2021. Registrations after 7th May 2021 will not be accepted hence we encourage clubs to send in your registrations as soon as possible.
